TOTO sanitary ware for public areas

The TOTO sanitary ware for public areas category includes products for restrooms in offices, shopping malls, schools, hospitals, restaurants, hotels, and factories. In high-traffic areas, fixtures should be easy to operate, clean, and maintain. When selecting products, consider peak usage times, user needs, and the building's water supply, drainage, and electrical conditions.

Product groups by area of use

• Handwashing area. Sensor lavatory faucets allow users to wash their hands without touching a handle. They can be paired with sensor soap dispensers to reduce touchpoints. When selecting a set, check the faucet's reach, the basin's depth, and the soap dispenser's position to minimize splashing and make refilling easier.

• Men's urinals. Choose urinals with compatible manual push valves or sensor flush valves. Cross-check the urinal model, water inlet position, and required valve pressure. For concealed installation, determine the valve access point for inspection and maintenance during the design phase.

• Toilet area. Choose toilets and pipe-based flush systems based on the restroom dimensions and operational needs. For renovation projects, cross-check the waste outlet center and water inlet position with the technical drawings before ordering. Position the toilet paper dispenser within easy reach and leave enough space for staff to replace the roll.

• Accessible restroom. Grab bars provide support when users move, sit down, or stand up. Coordinate the grab bar positions with the toilet, lavatory, door, and maneuvering space. Select models based on the design drawings, wall construction, and accessibility requirements applicable to the building.

What to check before finalizing fixtures for a project?

1. Peak-hour usage. Identify high-traffic areas, such as restrooms near lobbies, dining areas, or production lines. Use this information to determine the number of fixtures and select the appropriate operation method for each area.

2. Water supply and drainage conditions. Cross-check the water pressure, rough-in positions, and pipe sizes with the requirements for each model. For restrooms with multiple flush valves, check the water supply capacity when multiple fixtures operate simultaneously.

3. Power supply for sensor fixtures. Confirm whether each model uses batteries or electricity according to the product documentation. Leave space to access the battery box or power supply for maintenance.

4. Fixture and accessory list. Create a list for each restroom, specifying the product model, quantity, and any components that need to be purchased separately. Check the compatibility between the urinal and flush valve, lavatory and faucet, and fixtures and the rough-in points shown on the drawings.
